1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Dropouts ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the PDF is Love iOS application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with transparency and respect.

By downloading or using PDF is Love, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

Files You Process

The majority of PDF operations in PDF is Love (merging, splitting, rotating, organizing, editing, signing, protecting, unlocking, adding watermarks, and OCR text recognition) are performed entirely on your device using Apple's on-device frameworks. These files are never transmitted to our servers without an explicit action on your part.

Conversion API (Server-Side Operations)

When you use certain conversion tools (Word to PDF, Excel to PDF, PowerPoint to PDF, PDF to Word, PDF to Excel, PDF to PowerPoint, and PDF Compression), your file is temporarily uploaded to our secure conversion service for processing. The file is:

• Transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection
• Processed to produce the converted output
• Immediately and permanently deleted from our servers after the conversion is complete
• Never used for any purpose other than the specific conversion you requested

We do not retain, analyze, or share files processed by our conversion service.

Usage Analytics

We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics to help us improve the App, such as which tools are used most frequently, session length, and crash reports. This data cannot be used to identify you personally and is never linked to your files or personal information.

Subscription Data

When you purchase a Pro subscription, payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We use RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service, to track your subscription status (active, expired, trial). RevenueCat receives a randomly assigned subscriber ID and your subscription state. No raw payment data is stored by us.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate PDF conversion and processing services
• To manage and verify your Pro subscription status
• To provide customer support when you contact us
• To improve and debug the App based on anonymous usage data
• To comply with legal obligations if required

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. iCloud Storage

PDF is Love stores your PDF files in your personal iCloud Drive account through Apple's standard iCloud APIs. This means:

• Your files are stored in your iCloud account, not on our servers
• Dropouts does not have access to, nor can we view or retrieve, your iCloud files
• iCloud storage is governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service
• Files sync automatically across all Apple devices signed into the same Apple ID

5. Third-Party Services

PDF is Love integrates with the following third-party services:

• RevenueCat: Subscription management platform. RevenueCat receives an anonymous subscriber identifier and your subscription status. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
• Apple App Store: All in-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. See Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.
• Conversion Service API: A server-side service used exclusively for document format conversions. Files are deleted immediately after processing and are not retained or shared.

6. Data Retention

Files: We do not retain any files you process through the App. Conversion files transmitted to our servers are permanently deleted immediately after processing.

Subscription data: Subscription status and history are managed by RevenueCat and retained in accordance with their data retention policy. You can request deletion of your subscription data by contacting us at support@dropouts.in.

Analytics: Anonymous, aggregated usage data may be retained for up to 24 months to help us analyze trends and improve the App.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
• Objection: Object to certain processing activities
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format

8. Children's Privacy

PDF is Love is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at support@dropouts.in and we will take steps to delete such information.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. All file transfers to our conversion service use TLS/HTTPS encryption. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Data Transfers

PDF is Love is developed by Dropouts, based in India. If you are located outside India, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in India or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
